About

El Pueblo is a New York City based Instrumental Reggae/Dub sound

El Pueblo was started by Robert Julian and Lucas Leto in the Summer of 2004 while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

In 2006 El Pueblo does it's first recording; the EP "Third Word Reality" under Get Nice Records.
That same year the track "Protest" (T.W.R) was part of the 2006 Tunetank Reggae Compilation.
Another track from "Third Word Reality"  that was featured in a compilation was "Playa y Ron." In 2008 it was part of the L.A.M.C Compilation CD of the same year.

In 2006 most of the band moved out of Boston including Robert and Lucas. They both relocated to New York City and decided to keep the sound going with a new lineup.

In 2007 El Pueblo does it's first recordings with singer Chino Sing. The tracks were compiled into "The New York Sessions with Chino Sing. A series of shows through the city followed the release of these tracks.

In 2009 El Pueblo records it's first full-length album titled ISLA. The album was recorded mostly live at Godelstring Studios in Brooklyn, NY. The album features tracks with Chino Sing as well as instrumental tracks.
